7.á Elevator Code
Issues
Inclined platform lifts are
regulated in a similar manner to elevators.áá Usually this involves approval
of the application, licensing and inspection.á The local lift contractors are familiar with this
process and can be of assistance.á The local
elevator code may be based on the current ASME A18.1b standard, be
an earlier version or be a locally created code.á The lift must be
specified to comply with the local code.á
